Digital system interfaces and protocols

Scope

To develop international publications for digital interfaces and protocols primarily related to audio and video for consumer and professional digital equipment, systems and applications within the scope of TC 100 including:

  • Digital audio, video, audiovisual signal encoding and decoding
  • Interfaces, protocols and control mechanisms
  • Requirements for electrical characteristics such as sample rate, bandwidth, quantization, format, code, synchronization and clock
  • Measurement methods and measuring devices for parameters such as levels, distortion, noise, audible and/or visible effects caused by system errors
