Multimedia e-publishing and e-book technologies
Scope
To develop International Standards for multimedia e-books, multimedia epublishing, and the related technologies, including;
- formats of multimedia e-book content,
- minimum requirements for multimedia e-book players,
- user interfaces for multimedia e-book players,
- e-publishing services, and
- guidelines for e-book distribution by interchangeable storage media.
Texture map for auditory presentation of printed texts
Scope
To draft a standard which specifies
- text encoding scheme to generate a texture map
- physical shape and dimension of the texture map for printing
- additional features for texture map printing
- texture map decoding and auditory presentation of the decoded texts.
Those specifications make it feasible to interchange documents and publications between visually
impaired and non-impaired people.
